Jungle ATV Quad Tours
The keys to unlocking Costa Ballena
Where can I burn off a little adrenaline?
If the laidback serenity of Costa Rica’s ‘Pura Vida’ lowers your blood pressure too much, exploring vast terrains and landscapes on an ATV just might bring it back up again. Jungle ATV Quad Tours, departing from the coastal town of Uvita, offers an adventure that takes you deep into the heart of Costa Ballena’s natural diversity.
Rising from sea level to 4,000-foot mountain vistas above the Pacific coast, the 4.5-hour tour follows a succession of trails and changing landscapes through lush tropical rainforest, under the watchful eye of monkeys, sloths, toucans, parrots and more. After plenty of stops and photo opportunities on the way up, the tour leads back down through farmlands and villages before arriving at San Luis waterfall. The refreshing stop includes bathing in the waters of the waterfall’s 300-foot descent, as well as mouth-watering fresh fruit, natural juices and granola bars to help fuel the last leg back to Uvita.
